Introduction to English – Groep 4

Introduction to English bestaat uit 6 thema’s met verschillende activiteiten, waarin de leerlingen op een speelse manier de Engelse taal leren. Je kunt de thema’s op zichzelf aanbieden (bijvoorbeeld ter vervanging van het thema van je lesmethode) of als opstap voor CLIL-lessen als onderdeel van onze Wegwijzer.

Little Princess: I want to go on holiday – Groep 1-4

This activity is about the cartoon Little Princess: I want to go on holiday. The children think about spring cleaning and going on holiday. They also learn how to greet a member of the royal family! This activity can be spread over two lessons.

Saint Nicholas Charades – Groep 1-4

This TPR activity encourages the class to speak, first through copying keywords and actions in chorus, then by repeating simple sentences, and finally by playing a game in small groups.

Saint Nicholas poems – Groep 5-8

In this activity, children who have more experience with English and have some experience writing English learn about different poems. They are also encouraged to write a poem: either a poem using end rhyme or a haiku!
