Be yourself

For children aged 4-6 years old

Introduction

The project Be yourself is about being who you are. In six lessons, pupils experience and name the differences and similarities between themselves and the other children in the group, and they communicate about this with fellow pupils abroad. The project utilises CLIL methodology. CLIL stands for Content and Language Integrated Learning. This means that learning a foreign language (in this case, English) and working on intercultural competences take place in an integrated way.

What are the pupils going to learn and do?

The pupils experience the differences and similarities between themselves, other children in the group, and their peers abroad.
The pupils learn that we all look different on the outside, but that everyone is the same on the inside.
The pupils experience that it is okay to be different.
The pupils experience a positive feeling about themselves.
The pupils discover that people can speak different languages.
The pupils develop their skills as users of the English language.
