EARLYBIRD NEEDS YOU!!!
We are looking for enthusiastic native speakers or near native speakers to take part in an EarlyBird project as part of our Brede School activities.
EarlyBird offers extracurricular activities in its inner city primary schools where the children do not have much exposure to English outside the classroom. By doing activities and playing in English and hearing English spoken they will be picking up the language.
We envisage you doing workshops and activities with the children after school hours for approx. one hour.
For example a series of 6 weeks/workshops, maybe culminating in a little performance, exhibition or demonstration lesson for the parents.
We want to tap into your talents, e.g. song, dance, storytelling, drama sports etc.
We hope to start with more activities in several schools in Rotterdam and the surrounding area, all within easy reach by bike or public transport. Over the last three years we carried out projects included nursery rhymes, musical activities, art class, drama and games.
At the moment preference will be given to those who live in Rotterdam and vicinity. However, with regard to future projects we are also looking for activity coaches in Deventer, Steenwijk, Arnhem and vicinity.
